A crow perched on a shrine boarder bowed back to me once while I was living in Japan. I was in laughing hysterics and a bit freaked out all the rest of the way home. Crows are fantastic and terrifying.

I read a LOT of articles per week so they all blur together sometimes by the end. This one is so negligent and blase about human life, support and devoid of compassion that it stuck with me in between manhunts and shootings and evangelical far right wing nuts with Congress speaker ships.
They knew the name of the man, knew she was looking for him…and chose to bury him in an unmarked grave anyway. I doubt she’d know if someone hadn’t had an actual conscience along the way.
